Government Senior Specialist System Design Engineer

The Govt Sr Spec System Design Engineer manages technical expertise in developing, deploying, and managing professional services solutions exclusively to Federal Government clients on a fee-for-service or billable hours basis. Key Roles and Responsibilities: o Develops and applies advanced methods, theories and research techniques in the investigation and solution of advanced system requirements and problems. o Plans, develops and technically directs projects or major phases of significant projects, coordinating the efforts of technical support staff in the performance of assigned projects. o Develops investigations and tests of considerable complexity. o Reviews literature, patents and current practices relevant to the solution of assigned projects. o Reviews completion and implementation of system additions and/or enhancements and makes recommendations to management. o Evaluates vendor capabilities to provide required products or services. Consults on technical implications to other organizations. o Leads lower level employees. Required Skills, Certification, Experience, and Education: Experience with Software-Defined Networking (SDN) and Network Function Virtualization (NFV) architecture design and associated component configuration, implementation, integration and testing. Experience with SDN/NFV implementation, including control and orchestration in large enterprise networks and integration with other systems/platforms. Experience with formal Systems Engineering methodologies and artifacts. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Education: Masters Degree in Computer Science, a related field or equivalent experience. Experience: Minimum of eight years of applicable progressively complex systems design experience, including hardware/software configuration and integration of complex systems, including at least five years' experience with SDN/NFV. Required Clearance: U.S. citizen with the willingness to undergo background investigation and ability to receive a Secret clearance. Desired: Agile project management experience. Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) experience. DevOps experience. Lean IT experience. Existing/current Secret clearance. Experience working with the U.S. Government, in particular the Department of Defense. The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
