Voice Engineer ( Government )

Share this Job Facebook (Opens in New Window) Twitter (Opens in New Window) LinkedIn (Opens in New Window) Email (Opens in New Window) AT&T is looking for a strong and experienced Voice Engineer with knowledge and expertise of Cisco Hosted Collaboration Solution and VoIP. Experience working with the Air Force IT Community and a focus on the Enterprise Air Force organizations, associated stakeholders and customers, and associated missions is a plus. The voice engineer will be responsible for managing and maintaining the customer's legacy voice VoIP networks by being a part of large telecommunications and network team, and also for day-to-day operations and to handle hosted unified voice services within organizations and WANs/LANs/MANs. The voice engineer will lead the effort to transition legacy voice services to VoIP and IP Telephony and document all modifications to the infrastructure. The voice engineer will monitor and update key performance indicators, provide training to IT and non-IT professionals and support to others on the network team. They will also interact with vendors for receiving support, escalating issues and for keeping themselves abreast with the latest in technologies and versions. They must be open to working in changing environments and have solid written and spoken communication skills. Specific requirements for the Voice Engineer include, but are not limited to: o Demonstrated knowledge of E911 o Demonstrated knowledge of MLPP and DSN o SIP Trunking, IP PBX, FXS/FXO Ports o CODECs G711/G729 o Class of Service o Reviewing and providing input to technical design documentation (TRDs, Specifications, Interface Control documents, drawings), Requirements documents (ICDs, CDDs, CPDs), ECPs, PWSs o Organizes, analyzes, conducts, and/or monitors/oversees engineering activities relating to the design, development, fabrication, installation, modification, sustainment, and/or analysis of Voice Architecture, Network Systems. o Review and provide input enabling concept of operations, and ensuring supportability requirements are understood and met as part of up-front planning/design for Voice Architecture, Network Systems and Network System components. o Knowledge of FISMA requirements o Record and report the status of proposed engineering from initiation to final approval to contractual implementation. o Proactively provides technical expertise to ensure upgrade and modification requirements are planned and executed during the system life cycle. o Provides engineering expertise to include proactively identifying and resolving potential risks, to program managers at technical exchange meetings (TEM), and design reviews. o Provide engineering expertise to prepare briefings, reports, informational analyses in support of prototyping and demonstration activities. Qualifications and Skills: Bachelor's in Electrical Engineering, System Engineering or Computer Science and five or more years' experience in a Voice Engineering capacity. The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
