About MedStar Georgetown's 3 Bles- Medical Oncology/GYN Oncology3 Bles is a 20-bed adult Medicine and Oncology Unit.
Clinical nurses on 3 Bles provide expert care for acutely ill oncology patients, specifically solid tumor and GYN oncology patients.
They also provide care for complex medical patients with a wide range of diagnoses.
The nurses on 3 Bles are committed to cura personalis, care for the whole person, and actively involve families in the care of their patients throughout all stages of treatment.
All nurses on 3 Bles are certified to administer Chemotherapy and Biotherapy.
Additionally, nearly 50% of 3 Bles nurses are Oncology Certified (OCN), demonstrating their specialty knowledge, experience and exceptional clinical judgment.
Nurses on 3 Bles are active in collaborative governance, at the unit level and throughout the hospital.
Both Oncology Units, 3 Bles and 2 Bles, share a Practice Council where nurses work together to improve clinical practice and promote professional development on both units.
General Summary of Position:
A nurse is responsible for providing competent professional nursing care using the nursing process.
These functions are performed in accordance with all applicable laws and regulations and MedStar Georgetown University Hospital's philosophy, policies, procedures and standards.
Qualifications:
EDUCATION AND/OR TRAINING REQUIRED:
Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing; Bachelors degree or higher in Nursing preferred.
LICENSURE AND/OR CERTIFICATION:
Current DC license as a Registered Professional Nurse upon hire; certification in Basic Life Support.
Certification in specialty or related specialty preferred.
Experience:
To meet unit criteria, at least two (2) years recent acute careexperience.
ONS chemotherapy/biotherapy certificate preferred.

Ability to perform the nursing technologies.
Effective verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to set priorities and work under stress.

Delegates and supervises nursing staff in providing patient care and assumes leadership roles, eg, charge nurse role.

Participates in professional development activities.
Incorporates evidence-based practice and research into patient care delivery.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
